UltraPixel String Blade and NEW Obsidian Soundboards
UltraPixel Transcript
Hey everybody its Emory again with Ultrasabers and I am here today to introduce you guys to the newest addition to the Ultrasabers family. The new Obsidian soundboard lineup with the Chassis and the UltraPixel String blade. Now the new Obsidian soundboard lineup with the Chassis is available in Lite Sound, V3 Sound, or V4 Sound. So, with the Lite Soundboard has the one sound font, cant change it, cant re-write it. Um with the V3 Soundboard you got the one re-writeable sound font, you can hook it up to the software and change that through the software. And with the V4 soundboard you get 10 re-writeable sound fonts and you can change between all of those fonts on the onboard menu on this saber. Now with all three versions of the soundboard you can get the UltraPixel String blade, and with that you can change the color and do all the features that come with the UltraPixel String blade. That’s on all three versions you can do that. But again, um there is limitations as far as the sound fonts and re-writing them depending on which soundboard you pick. So, let’s go over some of the features with this new Obsidian soundboard with the Chassis’. So, this is a V4 soundboard here. Let’s go into the menu that allows you to change the color, the volume, and the brightness. So, to get to that were going to hold the button and give it to clashes, so two hits. So, hold the button and One, Two and we can point to change. That’s Brightness, Color, and Volume. So, lets go to the Brightness. Short press to confirm. Long press to cancel everything. So, short press and then we point to change the brightness. Short press. Alright lets go back into that menu again and go to the color. So, hold the button, One Two, short press, and we can point to change the color. So, we were just on green let’s look for red. Short press. So, now we have the red blade, just that easy. So, um again this is the V4 soundboard. We can go into the font menu to change between those and change the sounds. So, to get to that, hold the button and simulate the stab. So, I like to give it a hit on my hand and that will simulate the stab. So, hold the button and point. I think that is the Black Star. Alright, so it changed the sound and the light. So again, with this UltraPixel blade were not stuck with this sound and light combination. I can change the light right now. So, lets go back into the light menu and you can change the blade color with this Black Star sound font. So, hold the button, One Two. Short Press. So, we were just on blue, alright again just that easy. So, um we went over the fonts, we went over changing the blade color. Let’s go back to Obsidian. Turn it off. That’s the off. On. And then go back to the font menu. Were looking for Obsidian here. Alright, so, I am going to show you guys the lock latch up mode. So, lock up latch mode. So, in latch mode it is going to simulate two sabers being latched together, and in order to release the latch mode you are going to have to pull it away. So, latch mode is off uh by default when you guys get your sabers. To turn that on you guys are going to hook it up to the software, check a box, and turn it on. So right now again, the latch mode is a little I guess complicated so I am wanting to make sure you guys can see how this works. So, the latch mode on, to turn it on you are going to give the button a short press for about a half of a second. So, it is going to start to do this here, that means you are ready to do a latch. Once you hold the button to do a latch you are going to simulate a clash. A clash when two sabers hit, it is automatically do this. In order to release it you got to pull it away. So again, with the lock, latch lock up enabled um hold the button for about half a second. It is going to turn it on. Your next clash is going to do the lock up, and you have to release it. So, that’s your latch lock up mode right there. Um of course you can enable the, there is a responsive shimmer on here. There’s the, you can have the shimmer go at all times. We can have it respond to motions. That’s all done in the software. So, I am going to actually take you guys and show you some of the software now. So, lets go do some software. Alright, lets talk software. So, um before we get into the software lets actually talk Chassis. So, here are, is the V3 and V4 from the new Obsidian soundboard family. So, again as I said this takes one single 18650 battery, its an entire Chassis here. Speaker. Soundboard. Pins here. This is all one unit. So again, if you go to the technical specs it will show you how to connect these pins uh weather you are using a single LED or the UltraPixel String blade, show you how to use those. Um, so again, Speaker, Soundboard, battery holder all one unit. One single 18650 battery. Just wanted to give you guys a look at that. Um, I know people were curious about this whole thing. So, this is the single Chassis unit for the new Obsidian soundboard family, both the V3 and V4. And this is a mini-USB connection. I am sorry. Micro. Take that back guys. It’s a Micro USB connection. Alright so, um single 18650 battery is going to come standard with this 2600 mAh battery. That’s going to be the standard that comes with the sabers. If you want to a upgrade to a battery with a high mAh rating, we do have this E-fest battery, 3500 mAh, if you want to upgrade to that, that will be an option. Either one will get you nice juice um more than more run time than what you would have gotten with our previous battery setup. So, either one of these is just fine. But, it is up to you if you want to go with the standard or upgrade to the uh 3500 mAh E-fest that we are currently offering. So, lets move on to the software. You can download the newest version of the Ultrasabers Launcher on Saber Forum. Go to Saber Forum, go to the Obsidian section there is link right there that will allow you to download the newest version of the Launcher that does work with the new Obsidian soundboard family. So, um lets get a battery in here and get this going. Turn it on, connect the Micro USB – Micro. Get this plugged in. Once you plug in, it automatically detects. Alright so I am not going to bore you guys. I am not about to sit here for a half an hour going over all these features. I am just going to run through them real quick. This page here all your sensitivity. Swing, impact, the lock up release, the config menu gesture, and the fonts menu gesture. So earlier in our video I showed you guys how to go into the config menu. That’s the volume, brightness, and uh color. The fonts menu is on the V4 where you can change between the different sound fonts. So, right here at the bottom, uh is where you can check this box to enable the latch lock up. So, uncheck this or check it, so that you can enable the latch lock up that I showed you guys earlier. Font Wizard here, this is the uh meat of this whole thing. So, for the V4 you got these ten banks here. Uh on the V3 you’d only have the one, but the V4 you have ten different banks. And again, you can put a different font, a whole sound font um here and select a color to associate with that. Like I showed you guys earlier, you can change that color anytime you want, if you have the UltraPixel String Blade. So, you can set a color here to be default but you can go in a change that pretty easy in the config fig menu. So, that’s pretty cool. But, um again you change these as you would with the other one. You just next tag, this is what it plays when you select that particular font. Power on effect, standard stuff and it also shows you what it does. So, let’s go over this power on effect real quick. Um duration, that’s obviously the speed that it goes up or down. So, we can make it take longer or we can have it go real quick. Somewhere in between. That’s how that works. And of course, you can change the sound here as well. Right up here. You can change this so that this plays a different sound. So, you guys can have some fun that. But this is just what is standard on here. But again, the duration is something that you are going to want to get matched up with whatever sound effect you have here, and make sure it is the right duration so that it actually doesn’t you know terminate too quick. But the Presence is uh I don’t know if you guys can see it in the video, but it is like a little shadow effect that follows the blade. The Presence is going to dictate that. The lower the Presence the less that shadow effect is going to show. More Presence is going to give you more of that shadow effect. You can see it, it’s a little tapered shadow effect behind the blade. So, that’s that. Same thing with the power off. Nothing new here. It’s the same thing but this reverse. Fast. Or do it slow. Alright so um I mean that’s the power on, power off effect. That’s one of the coolest things about an UltraPixel String blade is to get that effect. That scrolling effect. Or the retract and the extension effect with the the blade LED color. So, the ideal effect. This is where you got the responsive shimmer. If you turn this off and you turn the tempo up, the blade is going to shimmer at all times. You can see that in the video there. You turn the temp down, it’s going to eliminate your shimmer. So, that’s how you’re going to change your shimmer effect here. Put this somewhere in the middle you’re going to get. I don’t know if you guys can see it. I trying to make it, looking at the camera so you can see it in the video. There you go. So yeah, um this changes the uh tempo of the shimmer. So, and so, if I took, click responsive and do the test effect, nothing is going to happen because in order for responsive to shimmer, you have to actually preform a motion. So, nothings going to happen here. But if I were to move the blade it would do the shimmer effect. So, keep that in mind if you turn this responsive on, it’s only going to uh respond to motions. So, I mean the rest is pretty standard stuff. You got your swing effects. You can put multiple in here. It will randomly select the swing effect. Same thing with impact or clash, and lock up effect here. If you have the latch presence it will dictate that. So, all the standard stuff. And then go to the end and you have to hit Write Font for it all to take effect. If you don’t hit Write Font and you hit Cancel, everything you did is going to erase. So, nothing, none of those test or changes take unless you hit Write Font. So, one piece of advise I want to give you guys, um if you have something cool going on here, other than the standard, you going to want to, before you start changing things, I would advise saving a Font. So, you can save these as font packages. So, I advise saving that uh if you guys have something you know cool you got going on before you start making any changes. So, keep in mind the whole save and load font feature on here as well. That’s pretty much it guys. That’s all I want to go over today. The rest of it you guys can experiment with, have some fun with it. But, um this again is the new Obsidian soundboard family, uh accompanied by the UltraPixel String Blade. So, in order to get the UltraPixel String Blade you do have to get a new Obsidian soundboard. You can get the new Obsidian soundboard without the UltraPixel String Blade, but in order to get an UltraPixel String Blade you do have to get a new Obsidian soundboard. That’s all I got guys. As always thank you guys for watching. I am going to go through my normal spiel. I mean, we really really appreciate you guys. We have been running strong since 2005 and we could not do this and release this new stuff for your guys, without your love and support. It has been a really crazy year and a half. As I am sure it has been for everybody else. Hopefully we can look back on this and laugh. It has been a really crazy year and a half. Ultrasabers has gotten through it. And were still got new cool stuff coming out for you guys throughout the rest of the year. But right now we got the new Obsidian soundboard and the UltraPixel String Blade and we are extremely excited and happy to bring it to you guys. And like I said thank you guys for watching. Hope you enjoyed the video.
