History of Double Bladed Lightsabers
The double bladed lightsaber is also known by a variety of additional names: doublesaber, saberstaff, dualsaber, double edge lightsaber, double sided lightsaber, and several other terms. In the galaxy far, far away, the double bladed lightsaber is believed to have been created by the Sith, although its design was later adopted by the Jedi as well.
Double Bladed Lightsaber Combat Capabilities
Double bladed lightsabers are prized for their offensive capabilities. The double blade construction of the lightsaber enables the user to generate a high rate of attack with relatively little bodily movement. However, it is difficult to master, as the wielder must continuously adjust their posture and movements to avoid interfering with the motions of the dual blades. For that reason, the double bladed lightsaber is considered highly advanced equipment that calls for its owner to undergo a substantial period of training before using it in real-world applications.
