Lightsaber Accessories You Should Definitely Consider

Apart from intense enthusiasm, collectors of all kinds have one common characteristic: they tend to accumulate a lot of stuff relating to their hobby. Nobody ever stopped at collecting one Blu-Ray, one baseball card, one video game, or one car. If you’re really into a certain pastime, it’s only natural to cast a wide net, trying to snare as many cool accessories as you possibly can—and, sometimes, more than you could ever expect to use. So it is with the world of lightsaber collecting.

For anyone looking for some awesome accessories to enhance their lightsaber experience, there’s certainly no shortage of stuff out there. And we’re not talking about pretty trinkets that have no real function—there are all sorts of useful accessories that can help you get the most out of your lightsaber investment. What follows is a brief introduction to some lightsaber accessories that may be of interest to the enthusiast.

Lightsaber Stand

Where do you put your lightsabers when they’re not in use? There are many possible answers to that question, but for some collectors, a lightsaber stand provides the perfect way to store their blade and hilt while simultaneously showing them off to good effect. UltraSabers carries a two piece lightsaber stand (3 inches wide, 3 inches tall) that can be assembled with ease. You can set up the stand on practically any flat, steady surface, and when you’re ready for combat, your duel-ready lightsaber is easy to retrieve at a moment’s notice.

Color Discs

There are various methods of altering the color of your lightsaber blades—some more expensive than others. If you’re looking for a low-budget way to experiment with saber tints, our color discs can do the trick. All you need to do is remove the blade from the hilt and insert your preferred color disc into the socket. Intended for use with Adegan Silver blades, they’re available in assortments of ten to give you plenty of options at a minimal cost. However, the altered color will not be as bright as a blade specifically designed for that particular color.

Covertec Clips & Wheels

A covertec wheel is a small button-like aluminum device that allows you to hang your lightsaber hilt from your belt while you’re out and about. The wheel, which is affixed to your hilt, attaches to a special clip that you can wear on your belt. That’s all there is to it; if you’re looking for a hands-free way to walk around with your hilt—the blade should be removed for this purpose—then the covertec wheel and clip system will get the job done.

Many of our lightsabers come standard with a built-in covertec wheel; for the others, it must be specifically requested during the ordering process.

Blade Plugs

Speaking of removed blades, many collectors don’t particularly like the look of their disassembled hilts. For them, a blade plug provides a simple method to enhance the appearance of the naked hilt by permitting some light to peek through in an attractive pattern. Blade plugs also offer the practical benefit of preventing stray objects from getting into the hilt as well as keeping the bright, unobstructed LED from shining into your eyes.
