WHAT TYPE OF BATTERY DOES YOUR LIGHTSABER USE?

A NOTE ON NEOPIXEL LIGHTSABERS

Neopixel lightsabers draw significantly more power due to LED strips inside the blade. These typically use high-drain lithium-ion batteries. If you need to replace a lightsaber battery in a Neopixel setup, always use the correct protected cell type. Using the wrong battery can damage the soundboard or reduce blade performance.

HOW TO CHANGE BATTERIES IN A LIGHTSABER

While models vary, most Ultrasabers’ hilts follow a similar battery access process.

1. Power Down Completely: Turn off the saber. Never perform a lightsaber battery replacement while the unit is powered on.
2. Remove the Pommel: Unscrew the pommel carefully. This exposes the battery pack or battery holder inside the hilt.
3. Slide Out the Battery Holder: Gently remove the battery pack. Avoid pulling wires directly by gripping the holder itself.
4. Replace the Batteries: Insert fresh batteries according to the polarity markings (+ / –). Incorrect orientation is the most common cause of issues after changing lightsaber batteries, as it risks damage to your soundboard.
5. Reinsert and Secure: Slide the holder back into place. Reattach the pommel securely.
