Neopixel lightsabers feature individually addressable RGB LEDs mounted in a strip inside the blade. These Neopixel LEDs are controlled by a microcontroller that can manipulate them to produce a range of colors and effects.
In addition to the LEDs, Neopixel lightsabers also feature a built-in soundboard that can generate a wide range of sound effects and audio files. The soundboard is usually pre-loaded with several sound fonts you can choose — and you can customize your own using our Obsidian software on your computer.
To power the Neopixel blade and soundboard, the lightsaber includes a Li-Ion battery pack that is stored in the hilt. The battery pack can be charged using a micro USB cable and charger, similar to a smartphone or other electronic device.
